    1. Thanks very much for your comment oana! It's in North County Dublin. That's Lambay Island in the Irish sea just east of Portrane; I took the shot from along the coast road.

    1. Thanks very much for your comment Clio! The sea does look beautiful doesn't it. I couldn't resist and doffed my shoes to step in; the water was very cold.

  9. Fabulous photo Jennifer, I recognised it as Lambay, straight away. Great place to see puffins and other seabirds. Last time we visited, we were attacked by some great black-backed gulls, which was a little frightening - we must have been too close to their nest.

    1. Thanks very much for your comments Dara. Oh my goodness that must have been frightening indeed. Extraordinary though isn't it that so many have their habitats there. I've always been partial to the puffins, with their sad looking pretty eyes and beautiful orange beaks.

  10. Now that I think about it Jennifer, I am confusing the gull attack with my last trip out to Ireland's Eye. Apologies.

    1. No need to apologize. Either way not a pleasant experience. I have a fondness for Ireland's Eye since it was one of my parents' favourite places to picnic when they were courting. Some of my favourite photos of them were taken on the island. They look so very happy. I posted some of the pics here: http://thesearchforanneandmichael.blogspot.ca/2013/10/sepia-saturday-200-my-favourite-sepia.html
