It is truly amazing how the old stone cutters would carve such beauty with only handmade drawings.
ReplyDeleteHi Claudia, Thanks for your comment. I couldn't agree more. They were certainly extraordinary artisans.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Jennifer
Great images. They make me want to go there again,

Great images - we have a lot of Georgian doorways in Edinburgh too. Cobh Cathedral must be amazing inside, judging by the doorway alone!
ReplyDeleteI love archways, doorways, gates! Another great posy Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill, and Jo, and Carol,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments; I really appreciate them!
Hope you're enjoying the Scottish Census Jo! Cobh Cathedral is magnificent inside and out. Maybe I'll post it next Wednesday.
Cheery Be!
Jennifer
What a great post! From such a simple theme, 'This way in', you provide a terrific, wonderfully creative selection of images, so very diverse both in locations and forms. Three minutes of viewing has made me feel as if I just experienced an amazing tour of Ireland.
ReplyDeleteOK, Jennifer, make that read
ReplyDeleteGREAT POST!! Not posy!
It may be flowery, as in a posy/posie/posey flower, but, that is not what I meant
OR Was it????
Hey Carol,
ReplyDeleteI'm good with posy, but I'll take post too. :):):)
J.
Absolutely beautiful -- such diverse architecture!
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like these.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day I will win the lottery and be able to travel to see them...
These photographs are beautiful! I have Irish roots but have not yet made it over there. Thanks for sharing those photos! Colleen
